I'm changing my handle. I'm JR now, not J-Dawg.

Factoid about OK

Did you know that one origin of the phrase, OK, came from the old American Indian Chief Old Keokuk? He was called by his admirers, "Old Keokuk. He is all right." He also used his initials "OK" to sign treaties.

Sincerely,
J-Dawg

Jackalope, myth or reality?

I barely got any sleep last because I was thrashing around. Last night, I saw a jackalope and it was pretty cool. Mom showed me a picture of a Wolpertinger this morning.

Current events

I learned how to do Cat's Cradle yesterday. It's a fun string game.

I was reading about the Greek Myths when Mom called me into do this so I'm not happy about doing this. I got a lot of stuff for Christmas. My aunts gave me The Lone Ranger that had 6 really good episodes. We also got Bonanza that had 3 episodes and that was really good too. I haven't watched the others yet. I also got some a bunch of art supplies including clay, and I built a ship with it.

I'm on my way to taekwondo now. See ya!

On life outside the sick room and push-ups

I am sleeping in the family room right now, and that rocks! My brother and sister are sick, and I don't want to be sick, so I'm sleeping in the family room. I was going to sleep in the living room but my mom wouldn't let me. There's a bed we set up in the family room so at least I'm not on the floor.

I have been doing a lot of push-ups lately and I hope one day my brother and sister will have to do some too. I have to do push-ups whenever I tease, and I'm getting good at them!

Happy birthday, Aunt Heather!

From your J-Dawg!

Hello world!

I have been called J-Dawg occasionally so I'll go by that here. Not in real life, but Mom says I can't use my real name. My brother is going by Monkey1 and my sister is Dog Lover. She really is too.

I love math and history. My favorite "hero" in Greek mythology is Poseidon. He was the ruler of the seas. Like his brother Zeus, he had many wives but his wife was not jealous like Hera. (Mom asked if that's why I liked him. I said no.) I think he had a chariot with 6 white horses. That I liked. His trident was made by the Titans. His brother, Zeus, got a bag of thunderbolts.

I am reading the Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites, Feathered Serpent, part 2. The main character, Jim, is going to rescue his daughter Melody from the secret city of Jacobugath. I love this series! I'm going to try to read all the books in the series.

See you later!
